Attunity Extends Big Data Solutions to Hadoop on the Cloud

Oct. 7 — Attunity Ltd. (NASDAQ:  ATTU), a leading provider of data management software solutions, announced today at AWS re:Invent that Attunity CloudBeam, its award-winning cloud data transfer solution, now transfers data between enterprise data centers and Hadoop running on the AWS Cloud. The new Attunity solution enables companies to leverage the power of Big Data analytics with Amazon Elastic Map Reduce (Amazon EMR), a web service that makes it easy to quickly and cost-effectively process vast amounts of data, as well as other Hadoop distributions running on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud. An Advanced Partner in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN), Attunity will showcase its new solution live this week in booth 1434 at the AWS re:Invent 2015 conference in Las Vegas.

Attunity CloudBeam, which also supports Amazon Redshift, Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) services, is available for immediate purchase and deployment in AWS Marketplace.

Global enterprises must make data readily available for real-time analytics to provide actionable business insights. Hadoop is increasingly the platform of choice to analyze vast amounts of information. Attunity CloudBeam is critical to ensuring that data is rapidly available for Hadoop-based analytics on the cloud. In addition to the aforementioned solution support, Attunity CloudBeam also supports access to data from legacy systems, and connects to a broad range of data sources including Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, Sybase, and a number of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) systems.

“A growing number of organizations require accelerated data delivery from on-premises environments into Hadoop clusters running on AWS in the Cloud,” said Jeffrey M. Kaplan, Managing Director of THINKstrategies and Founder of the Cloud Computing Showplace. “Attunity CloudBeam’s unique capabilities enable customers to provide better insights on sales trends, inventory management, and operations in real time using the data from their expanding eCommerce environments.
