Karmasphere today announced it will present its big data workspace for SQL analysts at Strata '13.![]()
Karmasphere’s technology is designed to support Apache Hive and HQL — the defacto SQL interface for Hadoop data. Through its web-based social interface, Karmasphere allows for collaboration by letting users up projects, as well as sharing and re-using each other’s work.
New features include:
- 30 New Hadoop-Compliant User-Defined Functions and Parsers — New plug-n-play functions range from simple moving average functions to advanced data mining algorithms requiring multi-factor queries such as Naïve Bayes Classifier and Graph Analysis algorithms.
- Search and Browse Asset Repository — Karmasphere has added the ability to search and browse all analytics assets in the Karmasphere environment, including Hive tables, queries, pre-packaged functions, parsers and more.
- Enhanced Ingestion Engine — A wizard-based interface allows for accessing of big data sources such as Oracle, MySQL, Teradata and others.
Karmasphere will demonstrate the latest version of its big data workspace at the upcoming Strata conference at booth #308 on Feb. 26-28.
