About a month ago, we featured the story of George Church and his team of Harvard geneticists who succeeded in embedding digital code into DNA. The concept, which could allow the entirety of the world's data to be stored in a few grams, could be described as astonishing.
It is sometimes slightly difficult, however, to express wonder over the written word. We'll let satirical comedian Stephen Colbert, who is normally quick with a witty remark, and his reaction to being handed a small slip of paper containing 20 million copies of Church's book Regenesis express the wonder of big data research in the below video.
